This cat has a purrma-smile. And yes, it’s real.

KATNISS: Furst of all, what should I call you?

RYAN: You can call me Ryan. The Humans call me that, plus Ry-Ry and sometimes RyeBread. ‘Cause I’m a loaf.

KATNISS: MOL! So, how did you get the name Dr. Ryan Lukens? It sounds like a character on a soap opera – Nine Lives to Live.

RYAN: It litter-ally does. Actually, I was named after a veterninarian who used to play football for OSU in Ohio.

KATNISS: Pawsome. So, how is it that you have an actual cartoon smile?

RYAN: Well, I have a bit of an underbite and my teeth have rested on my lips so often that they’ve worn away the fur.

KATNISS: Leaving you with an expression that some have described as

RYAN: Or the emoticons OWO or UWU.

KATNISS: We know you look purrmanently happy, but are you?

RYAN: Oh, fur sure! I have a great life. I’m a senior cat who got a second chance at a good home after I was adopted from Cat Welfare. I have lots of boxes to sleep in and hair ties to stalk and attack. I also have a best bud, Max, who is a senior cat, too. We’re cuddle buddies and sometimes like to sleep with our paws touching.

KATNISS: Aww, that’s sweet. What’s something else people might be surpurrised to learn about you?

RYAN: I have a squeaky, almost silent voice. And for an older cat who’s a bit chonky, I have no trouble jumping up on counters or over baby gates. Especially if I’m on the hunt for a hair tie.

KATNISS: Paging Dr. Ryan Lukens – hair tie on the counter! You’re needed STAT!
