An eartip indicates that a cat has been spayed or neutered as part of a trap-neuter-return purroject. It is a visual “tip” that the cat has been sterilized to purrvent overpawpulation of community cats.
Some cats who are trapped and tipped are returned back to the outside where they are taken care of by volunteers. Other cats become “worker cats” who are happy to purrform the job of “mousing” or purrtecting gardens from unwanted pests. Still other cats find furever homes as beloved pets. Here are some pawesome cats who can be seen rockin’ their eartips.
